About this Item

From a theological library, with a library stamp to several preliminary pages, no other markings. In 3/4 brown leather with rubbed and slightly edge-frayed, green cloth boards. The covers are well attached but there is drying and some small splits to the hinges. Some dryness to the spine, but with still fairly bright gilt lettering. xxii, 838 generally very clean pages, followed by an 18 page Index. There is some foxing and light stains, but mainly to the engraved illustrations. Contains engraved portraits, scenes, and at least one map. Rev. Bernard McHugh's name is stamped at the top of the title apge, with the name of John McMahon on the front cover.This heavy book measures about 8-1/2 inches by 11 inches, and is about 2-1/2 inches thick.
