Leather backstrip & corners heavily worn, back cover detached, front hinges holding, owners information on fep. Text block is well bound. 223 pages. Clip from the Burlington Vt. Clipper dated 8/10/1882 attached to the first page of the appendix, describes the Battle of Plattsburgh, does not effect text, but caused adjacent pages to brown from the acid in the newspaper.
