Light blue cloth boards over brown leather spine and corners. Gilt emblem on the front cover, gilt lettering and decoration on the spine. Blind stamped emblem on the rear cover. All edges marbled. Extremities are moderately worn. Covers are faded, rubbed, and foxed; small pieces of cloth missing from the rear cover. Recased with new endpp. Spine leather is cracked and moderately worn,but not chipped. Text is embellished with numerous illustrations, virtually clean. Map of Marshall County laid in, slight foxing/soiling in the margins. Some of the portrait plates are a bit soiled. Binding is sound and tight. Presentable copy, digital image available.
