Synopsis:

Unfamiliar with Latin American history? A HISTORY OF MODERN LATIN AMERICA is written just for you. Primary documents begin each chapter, offering short glimpses into moments in history and setting the theme for the chapter to follow. Maps, images, bibliographies, discussion questions, and other study aids are included to help you with research assignments and papers.
