Salem Press Co., MA. This unit was one of the 300 fighting regiments of the Union Army. They fought in almost every battle of the Army of the Potomac and were in the 2nd Division of the 2nd Corps. The 19th Massachusetts saw plenty of action in such places as the Peninsula Campaign, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg and the Wilderness campaign. The book also contains the roster of men in the unit. Very good copy of the first edition with no dust jacket. Bright gilt lettering and unit badge on the spine. 456 pages.
