Tribune Company’s Book and Job Printing Office, IL. Subtitled, "From Its Organization in the Fall of 1862 until Its Final Discharge from the U.S. Service in 1865" This regiment fought in the XVI Corps throughout the western campaigns. In two days at Vicksburg, this unit lost 25 men killed and 128 wounded. The 95th later saw service at Red River and saw heavy action at Fort DeRussy and Clouterville. They were defeated by Nathan Bedford Forrest at Brice's Crossroads and later fought at Kennesaw Mountain, Atlanta, Jonesboro, Nashville and Mobile. Good+ good copy of the first edition. Gilt lettering on the spine, starting to fade. Top and bottom spine tabs frayed and corners just breaking through the fabric. Signed by a veteran of Company G, Corporal Robert Horan, from Belvidere, Illinois on November 2, 1865. 240 pages. Bookseller Inventory # 4034
