Republican Press Association, NH. A detailed history of the 9th New Hampshire Infantry Regiment. This unit was one of the famous "300" fighting regiments of the Union Army. It had 10 officers and 145 men killed or mortally wounded; 3 officers and 251 enlisted men died of disease for a total of 409 deaths. They fought in Battle of Fredericksburg, the siege of Vicksburg, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, Petersburg and the Appomattox Campaign. The regiment was part of Burnside s 9th Corps. Good+ copy of the first edition. The front hinge is starting. 759 pages plus a 171 page appendix with the regimental roster. Bookseller Inventory # 10788
