Very rare. Nearly disbound, back cover discolored by moisture in one corner, original red cloth covers lightly worn. One page loose but present. The first page is the frontispiece, a picture of the author. The Shoal Creek Association of the Baptist Church was organized in 1871, having withdrawn from the Spring River Association, which occupied all the territory embraced in Lawrence, Barry, Newton, Dade, McDonald and Jasper counties in Missouri. The Shoal Creek Association included all of Barry and McDonald counties and about half of Newton County, Mo. with the Frisco railroad being the north boundary line.
