This work was derived from A Brief History of Bombardment by Bruce R. Harley, Office of the Chief Historian, 15th AF. This text is a supplementatl reading book for the AFROTC cadre and cadets to review the history of strategic bombardment and is dedicated to the spirit of Project Warrior. Project Warrior was a vehicle to encourage increased familiarity with warfighting theories and to heighten appreciation for the felxible and unique contribution of airpower. The goal of Project Warrior was to create and maintain an environment for Air Force poeple to think and plan in warfighting terms. This text reflects the post Vietnam era state of understanding, but was issued prior to the air campaigns in the middle east at the turn of the 21st century.
