Edward. First edition. EX-LIBRARY copy. Stereotyped and published by J A James & Co, Cincinnati, 1836. The book measures 4.25" x 7", 336 pages with additional page of publisher's advertisements. Illustrated with a facsimile pull out map. The book has been handsomely rebound in contemporary calf. Gilt stamped title, author and decorative bands on the spine. New marbled endpapers and paste-downs housed next to original front and rear leaves. Embossed library stamp on the title, dedication and contents page with number notation in ink on copyright page. Previous owner's signature in ink at the top edge of the title page, preface, and book I. Faint moisture stain at the top margin of the first 42 pages with faint embossed library stamp on pages 37-47. The textblock is largely clean and bright with tight binding.
