The book is bound in blue cloth covered boards with gilt titles and marbled end pages. Only defect to note is very slight shelf edge wear. 124 plus 14 pages of ads. The author was a social worker in the Anna State Hospital accumulated data for articles on the History of Union County and published them serially in the Anna-Jonesboro Gazette in the late 1930's. After the last article appeared, she had a few copies of the series bound in hardback for friends. This is a copy of one of the few copies produced. A rare and comprehensive history of this county in Illinois. Bookseller Inventory # 008071
