Complete 7 volume set bound in sturdy tan buckram over boards with paper labels on the spines. Lightly rubbed at the corners. Library numbers on the spines, bookplates on the front pastedowns and pockets on the back endpaper. Nice strong copies. Text crisp and clean. Volume 1 is signed by Charles William Burrows on the page where Avery dedicated the work to him. Charles William Burrows (1849-1932) founded Burrows Brothers Booksellers in Cleveland, Ohio in 1873 which published this set. He was also a Metallurgist who wrote some works in that genre.
