Quarterbound black leather with black pebbled cloth and gilt titles on spine with five rolled bands. Book has some edge, corner and surface wear but is quite attractive and square. The hinges have, at some point been re-glued, causing some stiffness in the binding and some tearing, but not parting, in the gutters. The leather outside the lower front hinge has split about 1" long. The leather outside both hinges is heavily worn. Front hinge is weak but holding; back hinge is VG. Gilt spine titles worn but legible. The book is ex-lib. with the usual markings, including the library stamp on most of the color plates.
