Published between 1881 and 1902 with different imprints: Vols. I-II, New York: Fowler & Wells; Vols. III & IV, Rochester, N.Y.: Susan B. Anthony. These four volumes document the movement, as follow: Vol. 1: 1848-61; Vol. 2: 1861-76; Vol. 3: 1876-85; Vol. 4: 1883-1900. Volume four INSCRIBED by Susan B. Anthony (signed and dated) on front free endpaper to Henrietta B. Monroe (President of the Ohio Woman's Christian Temperance Union). This PRESENTATION volume reads in part: "With the love of the olden days and the wish that you shall have a record of all that has been done by and for woman during the last twenty years, to place by the side of the earlier three volumes. I present this vol./ Affectionately Yours/ Susan B. Anthony (signed)/ 17 Madison Street/ Rochester NY/ July 21, 1902." First three volumes show typical sun toning to spine, volume four bright.
