Very Good++/No Jacket. No Printing Stated. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This is the hearing before the Committee on Commerce United States Senate, 65th Congress, third session pursuant to S. Res. 170. It is dated January 30, 1919. This hearing is driecting the committee of commerce to investigate all matters connected with the building of merchantile vessels under the direction of the United States Shipping Board Enemergency Fleet Corporation and to report its findings to the Senate, together with its recommendation. The book has ten fold-out photographs -- one that is around 5' in length. This particular fold-out photo is a panaramic view of all side of Hog Island. This title is also loaded with B&W photos of ships both in the harbor and cargo schematics, photos of the island itself including buildings, building materials, military personnel and more. Also maps of the region as well as the shipyard. Information on railroads as well. Light wear to cloth covers primarily at upper and lower spine edges; the "S" in Island in title is a bit faded.
