He lost his left leg in battle, but wrote the book in part to help rally support in the US shortly after America entered the war. Good copy of the first edition. No dust jacket. The book has a 1/2 inch on the left side of the spine and wear on the upper spine tab. The front hinge is just starting. Illustrated with black and white photos. 305 pages.
