Includes the King James version, plus lots of additional illustrations and features, such as illustrated profiles of the apostles, a lengthy section at rear of volume entitled "Illustrated Story of the Bible for Young and Old", in which the actual stories of the Bible are re-told in modern language and pictures. With many color and black & white illustrations, depicting Biblical people and scenes. Words of Christ in red. Presentation page at front of volume has not been completed. Lengthy section at mid-volume for entry of family data has entries in ink on two pages. --- This large Bible measures 8.75 in. wide x 11.25 in. tall; bound in maroon padded leatherette with fancy gilt ornamentation to covers. All edges gilt. Stored in custom storage box with red paper covering, appearance of which is similar to the Bible's binding. --- An excellent copy: clean and bright but with the above-mentioned inked personal information.
