In good condition. Light wear to extremities with heavier rubbing to hinges and extremes. Gilt finishing slightly dulled from time. Clasps intact, but somewhat loose when closing. All gilt edges. Printed marbled end papers. Interior lightly toned. Free of markings or family provenance. Binding tight and intact. Please see photos. Leather. Condition: Very Good Plus. No Jacket. Published circa mid-1870's. Three publishers listed to the title page: "Philadelphia & Boston - George MacLean" and "New York - Maclean Gibson & Co." and "London Ontario - G. Lawrence". Possibly a Canadian edition. Very gently read. Full leather binding. Deep tooled boards with intricate gilt illustrations, devices and rules, front and rear. Five raised hubs to spine. Bright gilt titles and intricate gilt stamped devices. 3cm x 3cm chip to the head of the spine, small chip near the spine edge in the 5th compartment. Some repairs have been done to the spine. Some rubbing to extremities. Complete with both brass clasps. Front board is starting but very firmly attached. Interior is quite clean except for occasional sporadic foxing and finger smudges. Three page fold-out of various sites in the Holy Land is intact but chipped to extremities with some creasing and short tears. Pockets to the rear for Family Portraits are unused as is the Marriage Certificate. Contains colorful full page "Lord's Prayer" & "Ten Commandants", maps, and illustrations throughout.
