Philadelphia artist Violet Oakley (1874-1961) completed thirteen murals for the Governor's Reception Room in Pennsylvania's capitol in Harrisburg in 1906. She subsequently created murals in the Pennsylvania Senate chamber and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Room. In this book she presents her drawings for those murals.
