Sir Douglas Mawson (1813-1897) was an Australian Antarctic explorer and geologist. His Expedition (1911-1913) went to King George V Land and Adelie Land in Antarctica to carry out geographical exploration and scientific studies, including visiting the South Magnetic Pole. He was knighted in 1914, and received the David Livingstone Centenary Medal from the American Geographic Society in 1916. A very good clean copy of this unusual publication.
