About this Item

First book by the winner of the Harbor Press Poetry Contest of 1930. 59 pages. Small 8vo. The manuscript of this published work was the prize winner, from among 600 manuscripts submitted, in the Harbor Press poetry contest. Miss Ramsay's manuscript was the unanimous choice of the judges. The contest was limited to those who had not yet been published in book form. A Very Good clean tight copy in a slightly chipped Dust Jacket. Inked "note" written by a previous owner on the first three blank pages, starting with the first free endpaper. The note mostly concerns his acquaintance with the man who funded the poetry contest, whom he called ".a most majestically charming gentleman." Also some pencil markings throughout.
