What a beautiful book this is! The boards are covered in suede leather - pristine and soft to the touch, but still with a beveled edge. The book also nestles into its original slipcase. This limited first edition was confined to only 250 copies of which this is number 50. It is SIGNED legibly by the author on aspecial parchment page which describes the book and how it was made.If you love horses there are many full color photographs here to augment a detailed text which also includes drawings and a few black and white photos. In addition to two photo essays: the Horse In Art From Europe and Asia To the New World and Wild Horses of the West, there are four lengthy chapters each discussing a type of horse. These types include the Arabian, the Thoroughbred, the Quarter Horse, and the Appaloosa. The book measures 9"x12" and has 255 pages. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 24825
