"First Edition" stated; number line complete 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. Robert Vavra has signed in black felt-tip to the FFE. Then, a B&W continuous-tone print of the color "author photo" from jacket rear flap -- showing Vavra between two Kenyan gentlemen with spears -- has been tipped onto the same front endpaper, and Vavra has signed the lower white margin of said photo, the two adjacent signatures matching well. Then, to verso of this same page, a heavy piece of laid paper has been tacked in, bearing a message from actor William Shatner, who writes the foreword to this book. Whether this note appears in all copies of the first printing we don't know. One would expect such an artifact to be printed, but we can't discover a halftone dot, even with our 6X loupe, indicating this note MAY be hand-written. Jacket flaps show some creases. Reduced from $120. 256 pp. of mostly color glossy horse photos and thus a heavy book. A NOTE TO OUR OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS: While we welcome offshore orders, we ship our books in boxes, and all international boxes of more than 4 lbs. (1.8 kilos) must now travel by air, "Priority Mail."
