Spine cover is cracking, front and back, but still attached firmly. 3/4ths of an inch of top of spine cover is missing (see photos). Marbelized pastedowns. Hinges are beginning. Some minor age toning to text block. Many illustrations. A few dog-eared pages. All in all a nice copy and an excellent reference work for historians or collectors. Price reflects condition. Practical ideas for making "discoveries" of how to do household chores more easily and faster. Hundreds of recipies, the cream of the crop of many hundreds of thousands that the author reviewed. The contents are pictorial. According to the author, "If a moving-picture machine could follow a good housekeeper around from morning until night, seven days in the week, and fifty-two weeks in the year, and then throw the series of pictures taken upon a screen, the result would be similar to the contents of this volume.".
