Limited Edition, First Issue, one of 750 copies (400 for sale). About Fine in cream white buckram covered boards, stamped at spine in gold, without dustwrapper. Slight offset to front endpaper. Mild toning of spine panel. Text clean and unmarked. 67pp. with Introduction by Underhill. English only. Tagore[1861-1941], who won the Nobel Prize the year before this book was published, was a major figure in world literature. This short collection is the first appearance in English of the work of Kabir, a 15th Century Indian mystic poet. Oddly, "1915" is stamped at the base of the spine, though the title page states "1914" at the bottom. The Macmillan edition was published a year later. A pretty book, and scarce in this issue.
