About this Item

**UNIQUE SIGNED LIMITED EDITION** A Beautiful, Full Leather Deluxe Limited Edition. A riveting true-life adventure tale, a compelling endorsement of longbow hunting, and an in-depth treatise on the art and science of archery, by Howard Hill, the man widely recognized as "The World's Greatest Archer." With foreword by Erroll Flynn. On the surface, this book appears merely to be an exemplary copy of the Deluxe edition of this title from the famed Derrydale Press' "Legends of the Longbow" series, issued in a printing limited to 1250 numbered copies. First looks can be deceiving, however. This exceptional copy is in fact a unique variant, quite different from other copies in this edition. First of all, this copy is not numbered; also, unlike the edition's standard copies, it isn't signed by sportsman and series editor Glen St. Charles. Instead, opposite the title page, this unique copy bears the personable but unpersonalized inscription and autograph of Howard Hill's nephew, Jerry Hill--a renowned bow maker, and himself a legendary figure in archery circles. Additionally, Jerry Hill has tipped in a business card from his 'Jerry Hill Longbow Company,' an enterprise reputed to be "The Greatest Name in Traditional Archery." The book itself is gorgeous, with sumptuous, forest green leather embossed and richly embellished with gold decoration, titling and gilt page ends all around. But for a whisper of insignificant rubbing to the bottom corner of the text block, this heirloom-quality book is without notable flaw, and appears in nearly every respect equivalent to an Easton Press Edition in material quality, workmanship and attention to detail. Ships FAST!! and securely (insured and carefully packaged in a well-padded box) from Southern California. Bookseller Inventory # ABE488B12
