Hardcover with dust jacket; green tweed cloth boards with black lettering on the spine. Hinges and binding are firm. Spine ends and corners are slightly rubbed with some discoloration on the ffep. The 296 pages are mostly clean and unmarked with a light one inch stain on p. 203. The mylar protected dust jacket has a color illustration on a black background. The original price of $2.75 remains on the inside flap. There is chipping at the spine ends and corners with rubbing at the bottom front cover edge. There is also a 1 & 1/2" rubbed mark on the spine with two letters of the title affected. This young adult adventure story brings together Stan Ridley and his friend Tod Moran who find themselves stranded on the Island of the Wind that Kills when Dr. Latimer disappears with their yacht, the Wind-Rider. The two boys find themselves matchinng wits with a dangerous pearl seeker while trying to find the Wind-Rider and make their way back home. A nice copy of a juvenile mystery- adventure book.
