About the Book

We're sorry; this specific copy is no longer available. Here are our closest matches for THE INHERITORS by Atlee, Philip.

One of A.C. Greene's 50 Best Texas Books, this novel is about rich young playboys and girls in Fort Worth before WW2., it has become a really rare book. This copy is a first edition, tightly bound, with the typical creased spine of larger clothbound books and some slight soiling. The DJ is missing but some previous owner has glued its DJ folds into the front and back pastedowns of the book so that the folds and their info about the book appear where they would be if a jacket existed. Print on Demand

Book Description ReInk Books, 2017. Softcover. Condition: NEW. Reprinted from edition. NO changes have been made to the original text. This is NOT a retyped or an ocr'd reprint. Illustrations, Index, if any, are included in black and white. Each page is checked manually before printing. As this reprint is from very old book, there could be some missing or flawed pages, but we always try to make the book as complete as possible. Fold-outs, if any, are not part of the book. If the original book was published in multiple volumes then this reprint is of only one volume, not the whole set. This paperback book is SEWN, where the book block is actually sewn (smythe sewn/section sewn) with thread before binding which results in a more durable type of paperback binding. It can also be open wide. The pages will not fall out and will be around for a lot longer than normal paperbacks. This print on demand book is printed on high quality acid-free paper. Used Hardcover First Edition Quantity Available: 1
Back Door Book Shop
(Fort Worth, TX, U.S.A.)

Book Description Dial Press, 1940. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Created a scandal when published. Local (Fort Worth) legend has it that the author's family bought up and destroyed copies in an effort to suppress the book which was widely believed to report the wild behavior of the younger generation of the City's social elite. Thinly disguised characters reportedly left no doubt as to real identities. I've found only 3 copies in 60 years of intense bookscouting within a mile of the locale. This copy is slightly cocked (Remediation in process) and has the former owner's name & address on the pastedown and record of acquisition in ink covering the entire endpaper opposite, o/w condition of the book is very good. No d/j. To access a few more of our Texas-related books, search using our unique keyword TXCOHST or visit our shop in Fort Worth for a mind blowing experience. Seller Inventory # LBP 129
