Brown pebbled cloth boards with publisher's logo & rules blindstamped. Gilt lettering on spine dulled, some toning to spine, some spots to front board. Binding a bit loose after second signature, but all pages intact. Overall: aged, but very good. Four engraved plate illustrations, 197 pp, publisher's catalog at end. Title of the catalog is "Cheapest Book House in the World." However, the paper used for this book is barley toned and the cloth binding & endpapers still in good shape, so they must have had some concern with quality, as well as cheap price. (As an aside, they include their title list for "Wilkie Collins' Best Works" but neither 'The Woman in White' nor 'The Moonstone,' which are his two books which seem to have survived the relentless march of time and fashion and made it into the literary canon, are listed here!).
