."compiled at the expense of the late Charles Robert Darwin under the direction of Joseph D Hooker" 1946 reprint of the 1895 work in two volumes, Vol 1 1268 pp, Vol 2 1299 pp, + 10 supplementary volumes in various paginations. Vols 1 and 2 are bound in a black half morocco with green morocco effect boards. TEG. Slight creasing to the first few pages of Vol 1, a few minor scuffs to the bindings of both volumes. The supplementary volumes which are dated between 1886 and 1940, are bound in green gilt lettered cloth, they are very good clean copies with slight shelf wear here and there, minor offsetting to feps, and the occasional bumped corner. Generally very good. This is a heavy set and may require additional postage if being shipped outside of Europe. Large 4to.
