xii, 618 pp. Sm. 4to. David Oliver Allen (1799-1863) was a missionary who served in India from 1827, when he graduated from Amherst College, to 1853. He supervised the printing of the bible in Marathi. Lacking the map else a good copy, spine chipped and torn, with a split along gutters, owner's name on free front endpaper, binding still tight leaves clean and unmarked. Still useful.
