About this Item

1922. Cambridge: Harvard University Press. 8vo. Hardcover. 1st ed. Bound in maroon cloth. Slight spine end wear with a short 1/8" tear in spine top; slight corner wear. There is a long inscription (more like a letter) from Havens to Aunt Edwina, signed by Havens). Also there are two photographs probably of Havens(since this is his Aunt's book) attached to a free endpaper. Also, there are typed reviews of this book bySidney Lee, Denis Saurat attached to the half-title, dedication page. In other words, there's a lot of "stuff" stuck in the front of this book, the most interesting being the letter from Havens. Overall, a nice tight copy of an important work.(FR).
