About the Author

Susie Boulton’s intimate knowledge of Sicily was born when she visited the island whilst studying History of Art at Cambridge University. Since then she has written some 25 guidebooks, mostly on Italy. She visits Sicily regularly for research and pleasure, and is always absorbed by the island’s diverse cultural heritage and architectural splendour.
