Quattro voumi legati in due di cm. 24, pp. (18) xlviiii, 296; 263 (1); 298 (2); 305 (3). Con 39 tavole incise in rame e ripiegate fuori testo. Le tavole fuori testo sono numerate da I a XXXVIII ma risultano 39 in quanto una, posta nel primo volume, non � numerata. Leg. coeva in piena pergamena rigida con nervi a vista e titoli in oro su tasselli ai dorsi. Usuali fioriture sparse, tipiche della carta napoletana, peraltro esemplare genuino ed in buono stato di conservazione. PRIVO del ritratto. Buona edizione di questo classico della letteratura medica. Molto interessante la parte iconografica raffigurante prevalentemente momenti delle operazioni chirurgiche, strumenti, ecc. Cfr. Garrison and Morton (5576): "Heister is the founder of scientific surgery in Germany. His book contains many interesting illustrations and includes an account of tourniquets used in his time.".
