The book includes anecdotes from Hazen's interviews with novelists such as George Ade, Sinclair Lewis and Booth Tarkington, bishops Charles Edward Locke and Alfred O. Gilman, actors, generals including George Marshall, Hugh Scott, Admirals including Ernest King, Husband Kimmel, congressmen, historians, educators, athletes and coaches such as Walter Camp, and many other notables.
