About the Author:

About the AuthorThe author Mrs. Odunayo Ogundipe holds a B.Ed (Hons) Biology and M.Ed. Educational Administration degrees. She has over 25 years of teaching experience. She taught Biology and Integrated science in secondary schools in Nigeria, Trinidad and London. She taught Ecology and cell biology at the National Institute for Higher Education Science and Technology (NIHEST), in Trinidad. Mrs. Ogundipe had many years of professional experience as Assistant Examiner and Team Leader for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and Assistant Examiner for the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).Her hobbies include creative art and textile design. She worked with African associations in Trinidad and Tobago to promote African socio-cultural awareness. In I995, she wrote a book titled 'Sculpture in the Nigerian Socio-cultural Society'. Now that she is retired, she 'shouts' about the environment, whenever the opportunity arises. She believes that if people are educated about the consequences of our actions, we can understand how to preserve the earth's natural resources and make the world a better place for the future generations.
