This includes work from both classical authors and then modern writers, including Walt Whitman, Sappho, Goethe, Catullus, Shakespeare, etc. Edward Carpenter was an English socialist, writer and gay activist, advocating for labor causes and sexual freedoms. GOOD condition. Moderate fading, with some offsetting, to the covers, most noticeable to the rear cover. Minor soiling. Small faint reddish smudge to the front covers.
