About this title

Synopsis:

Why did the US go to war and why was war considered a bad idea? How did Saddam Hussein become so powerful in Iraq? Who are the Shi'ites and why do they matter? Who are the Kurds and why do they matter? Did Iraq have weapons of mass destruction? How important is Iraqi oil?

Find the answers to these and many other questions in this easy-to-read 40-page booklet.

In the same style as its predecessors, "Afghanistan in a Nutshell," "Pakistan in a Nutshell," and "Islam in a Nutshell," the latest book in the Nutshell Notes series opens with a list of terms, continues with an outline of background events that led to war, and concludes with short chapters explaining the most pressing issues for example: Iraqi oil, Saddam's rise to power, weapons of mass destruction, UN Resolutions etc.
