About this Item

Large (11 x 14") portfolio of 147 collotype plates printed by the Meridian Press showing details of forty works of art from the collection, some of which were stolen in the famous 1990 theft and have not been recovered, together with a booklet of six leaves with title page, Preface and Contents, all in a folding Solander box. The black & white plates on stiff cream stock are Very Good, only very slight toning around edges. The cardboard and cloth folding box is Fair to Good, the cloth spine and label are insect nibbled, corners and edges worn and weakened, one bottom edge panel lacking; accompanied by small 48-page Guide [to the museum collection] booklet. Interesting portfolio of close-ups details of fine art from the museum's collection. Bookseller Inventory # J60803
