Brown cloth. 214 pages. Illustrated. Includes a number of fold-out maps. A somewhat informal, although detailed, history of the Isles of Shoals off the coast of New Hampshire and Maine, spanning from their discovery and use as fishing islands in colonial times to the 19th century. GOOD condition, ex-museum library. Remains of a spine label present, with a pocket, pastedown and minor stamping in the interior. Moderate fading to the covers, with minor soiling, scuffing and edgewear. Interior solid with minor scattered soiling and general toning to the paper. Previous owner's bookplate (depicting the shoals) on the inside front cover, with ownership signatures on the last page. Bookseller Inventory # 005426
