Original red cloth, large octavo, [5], 352 pp. 8 full-page illustrations, 4 folding maps. Originally published in 1928 by the California Historical Society in an edition of only 330 copies, this "Definitive Edition" corrects editorial errors and adds new material from other primary sources. Laid in is a autograph letter from editor Charles Camp to printer Lawton Kennedy addressing typographical questions relating to the book. The letter (an aerogramme) is postmarked Western Australia 13 Sep, 1960. Bookseller Inventory # 18658

We had our open bookshop in the town of Sonoma for a total of 17 years, including 9 years at our East Napa St. location, however, as of April 13, 2013 we have closed our doors. Our business is now conducted online, by appointment, and at the approximately 8 antiquarian bookfairs at which we exhibit annually. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. US orders are shipped BY Priority Mail, Media Mail, OR UPS ($5-$12 on most single title orders).
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: Foreign orders are shipped at cost. International surface mail is not offered by the US Postal Service; all orders are shipped by air. We utilize the $30.00 Priority Mail International flat-rate mailer (4 lbs maximum weight) when we can adequately protect the book within. Oversize books will in most cases cost a minimum of $50.00 to ship overseas. The ABE default shipping rates are based on orders for 1 book at a maximum weight of 2.2 pounds. In many cases (large books, sets, insurance) this does not reflect the actual shipping cost. We will request additional shipping compensation through the Abebooks system when necessary.
