Stauffacher and his Greenwood Press were quite active and well respected in the printing community in mid-California in the middle 20th Century. His acknowledgement of his sources of material for this book includes many of the premiere typographers and printers in the US. Sepia engravings and three back-to-back foldouts with six Figures in black (one a reproduced full size specimen leaf by Anton Janson plus more than 30 pages of specimens comprise the text of this finely printed and bound volume. I believe this was issued without a jacket (if wrong I will appreciate being corrected). Text block is tight, clean and square.
