' A condensed critique and response of Sombart's work, which originally appeared in the Judische Press in 1911 over the course of thirty serialized responses. Rabbi Hoffmann both expands upon Sombart's theses which he accepts as correct (the Jews as pariahs in the feudal order; important in trade and advertising) ; while pointing out falsities of other positions (Sombart's incorrect claim that Jews invented bills of exchange) . Hoffmann also discusses present day Jewish agricultural work in Palestine, state and class strata at the time of writing of the Hebrew bible and the New Testament (comparing various theocratic dicta on wealth) , and the fundamental structure of modern capitalism (production) .
