About the Author:

Davis created Sports Marketing Group, the largest publisher of specialty golf magazines in the country, and sold it to Times Mirror in 1989. He is a past president of the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association and a member of the Golf Collectors Society.

Anderson has been a sportswriter for the New York Times since 1966, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1981 for distinguished commentary

Arnold Palmer is one of the most storied players in the sport of golf. The winner of seven majors, including four green jackets as Masters champion, he is still active on the Professional Golf Association's senior tour. He is the president of Arnold Palmer Enterprises and the Palmer Course Design Co., and the owner of two courses: the Latrobe Country Club in his native Pennsylvania, and the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida. His autobiography, "A Golfer's Life, " was a "New York Times" bestseller.

Gary Player, a native of South Africa, is a legend to golfers around the world. When not golfing and traveling, he lives, appropriately, in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Tom Watson Watson is Associate Professor & Head of the School of Communication at Charles Sturt University in Australia. He has more than 25 years experience in corporate and consultancy public relations and was awarded his PhD from Nottingham Trent University in 1995 for research into the modeling of public relations evaluation.
