Book VG condition; top/bottom spine bent; corners front/back boards bent slightly; top edge of text block has been colored by printer, but shows moisture staining (doesn't transfer to pages); jacket, edges of text block and pages show slight age/dust discoloration; back cover has some discoloration (green cover, white discoloration) possibly from jacket, two large spots approx 2-1/2" half circle upper back, and approx 1-1/2" tall x 1" wide lower edge; jacket shows evidence of moisture, mostly back and upper front; bending noted top/bottom edges of jacket resulting in several closed/chip tears, most notable being 1" closed tear top edge near spine, two 3/4" +/- closed tears top edge spine, 1/4" +/- chip tear bottom edge back, other tears 1/2" or less. 607 pages including index. About the Author:

Jane Grigson (1928–90) was brought up in the northeast of England, where there is a strong tradition of good eating. In 1968 she began writing cookery articles for the Observer Colour Magazine; the Bison Books edition of Good Things is a collection from this highly successful series. Jane Grigson's Fruit Book is also available in a Bison Books edition. Grigson posthumously received the 2009 James Beard Foundation Cookbook Hall of Fame Book Award for her entire body of work. Amy Sherman studied the culinary arts in Italy and is a San Francisco-based food reviewer and an avid cooking blogger at
