About this Item

First Edition Paperback Original. Signed by the author Dave Hardenbrook. With illustrations by the author. Laid in is a small (5 1/2” x 4 1/4”) printed color announcement for a book signing “OZ Event”, April 25, 2009, at Mystery & Imagination bookstore in Glendale, CA, featuring this book as well as ‘The Book Collector’s Guide to Frank L. Baum & Oz’ by Paul R. Bienvenue with Robert E. Schmidt and ‘I, Toto’ by Willard Carroll - the autobiography of Terry, the dog who played Toto in the film ‘The Wizard of Oz’. As new in printed wrappers. ‘Jellia Jamb, Maid of Oz’ tells the story of Jellia, ‘sprightly chief maid of the Emerald City Palace’, whose life takes a fantastical turn when she bathes nude in a pool of enchanted liquid candy that gives her magical powers. A rather unusual Oz pastiche in that Jellia Jamb is portrayed and depicted as a somewhat naive yet obviously sexual buxom woman in a storyline with a fetishist spin. Bookseller Inventory # 18322E
