Signed first edition hardcover with dust jacket; turquoise boards with gold lettering on the spine. The hinges and binding are firm and the 390 pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. There are no noticeable flaws. The author has a short message, date and his signature on the ffep. There are also 48 pages of vintage photographs, a directorary of illustrations and tables, as well as an index. The mylar protected dust jacket also has no noticeable flaws and the cover contains historical photos of many Jewish people influential in Nevada history. With two decades of tracing the Jewish story in Nevada, the author offers a multilayered accounts of the Jews who helped to settle and develop Nevada and the challenges they encountered preserving religious practices and cultural traditions. The absorbing details of colorful Jewish characters inclued Adolph Sutro who succeeded in constructing a four mile tunnel to drain the Comstock, Jacob W. Davis, a tailor, whose design became the world famous Levi's blue jeans and Moe Dalitz, a Las Vegas casino pioneer with a dubious past.
