About this title

Famous bureaucrat and writer Qudratullah Shahab and Altaf Gohar too had witnessed unpalatable scenes during Field Marshal Ayub s rule, but the events and conspiracies Pakistan went through Bhutto's era were unsurpassable and Rao Rashid not only witnessed those but analyzed these too with an eye of a police officer. This book Jo Mein Ne Dekha is an inside story of Pakistani politics and governance is directly from the horse's mouth. He has post-mortemed the people who were playing with the future of Pakistan; its history and even geography. Basically these are the memoirs of a long march of a life but in fact he has portrayed an important and turbulent period of Pakistan's history. Giving out his personal experiences, views and observations about Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Hanif Ramay, General Zia ul Haq, Nawab Sadiq Qureshi, Air Marshal Asghar Khan, Masud Mahmood, Afzal Saeed; the stalwarts of the era, he has transferred to the coming generations such an authentic evidence which would have been impossible to get from any other source. A history interesting than fiction and a tragedy more sorrowful than the Great Tragedy. An indispensable source for the future historian.
