Cloth; dust jacket; square 8vo; pp. 164, illustrated in b/w and full-color. Two copies from the library of Monroe Wheeler, MoMA's director of exhibitions and publications (1941-67); one with his bookplate, and inscribed to him by Miro; the other a "working" copy with a few of his corrections in ink (FFEP, p. 16), as well a laid-in letter providing an interesting provenance for Miro's "Portrait of a Goldsmith," an invitation to a Miro exhibtion at Fondation Maeght, and a short article on Miro clipped from an unknown periodical. The inscribed copy appears to be fine, though the dust jacket (in mylar) in attached, so all we can say for sure is that it's internally bright and clean; in near fine, very lightly rubbed and age-toned, jacket. The working copy is near fine, with some off-setting on the paste-downs where the dust jacket was attached (the adhesive has worn off of the front paste-down, tho the jacket remains attached to the rear paste-down). Just a little rubbed and age-toned in mylar. Nice copies, with an interesting association -- Wheeler organized numerous exhibitions that either included, or focused on, Miro.
