About this title

Synopsis:

Joe is a young little blue crab who heads out for a peaceful walk on the beach one day. Along the way, he finds out he is different from everyone else. A happy stroll rudely interrupted, Joe must find a way to regain his footing---and his self-esteem. (1st in the series)

About the Author:

Tim Hill is a speaker and the author of the "Joe the Crab Self-Esteem Series", picture books for grade school-aged children. His first book, "Joe the Crab Takes a Walk" focuses young minds on embracing the differences in us all, and peacefully overcoming those who don't. His second book, "Joe the Crab Hunts for Shells", keys on the glaring problem of bullying, while the third book in the series, "Joe the Crab Goes for a Swim", sees Joe feeling left out of the fun. This series covers emotional issues kids face and Tim hopes to educate, inspire and help them learn to deal with them peacefully and effectively; how to get along with each other respectfully, even when common ground seems impossible to find. Tim speaks to schools and various organizations about these issues, the writing process and what it's like to be an author. He's also a husband and father living in the Midwestern US.
